Easy to make, and so satisfying. Some people say the texture is like tuna salad without the fishy taste.
Ingredients
- 1 garlic clove, peeled
- 1 15-ounce can (443 ml) of drained and rinsed chickpeas
- 1/4 cup (60 g) hummus or any vegan mayo
- 2 teaspoons mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- Pickles, chopped (optional)
- 2 tablespoons de apio finamente picado (opcional)
- (opcional) Pimientos picados
- (opcional) Zanahoria rallada
- (opcional) Chícharos
- 1-2 tablespoons de pepinillos en vinagre picados (opcional)
Instructions
- Finely chop the garlic by hand or in a food processor.
- Mash the chickpeas by hand or in a food processor until desired consistency.
- Stir in the rest of the ingredients and taste for seasoning.
Notes
Eat on crackers or chips, or use as a sandwich filling.
